Lance Armstrong

Lance Armstrong (Dallas, Texas, U.S) was one of the most espectacular atlethes and his life experience teaches how to overcome adversity until today.

Lance started in road racing cyclist competition pretty early. When Lance appers to the sport, people said Lance was a natural and the biggest talent ever. However, he was diagnosed as having testicular cancer in 1996.

Tour de France is the most tradicional road racing cyclist competition. Before the cancer Lance was placed in 8th (1995) and 7th (1996). After he was diagnosed he stopped with training and competitions to make the cancer treatment.

He never gave up, after his surgery his doc stated that he had less than 40% survival chance. In 1998 he returned in an official competition then he won Tour de France seven times in a row. (1999-2005)

Beasides all the adversity, Lance had all the reasons to retire but he still fought and became one of the greatest examples to learn how to overcome adversity.
